Its great advantage is that it is really easy to grow, so even a beginner can handle it. The ideal planting time is in the spring, when the soil has thawed and is more workable. The earlier the spring garlic is planted, the better it will have time to take root and its sticks will be bigger.”
“The garlic cloves are split into individual cloves and then planted to a depth of about 4 to 6 centimeters deep with the tip facing up. It is important not to forget about at least 10 centimeter spacing and at least 25 centimeter spaces between rowsso that the seedlings do not interfere with each other. As for the habitat, a place in the sun with lighter permeable soil is ideal.” says Ludmila.
“Caring for spring garlic is really not difficult, all it needs is plenty of sun, regular moderate watering and well-drained soil kept free of weeds. It is also good to enrich the soil with compost. You will see the harvest in the summer, i.e. in July to August. You can tell when the garlic is ready for harvest by the yellowing of the lying leaves. It is ideal to let the spring garlic dry for a few days in a dry place with sufficient air circulation after pulling it out of the soil.
