Five firefighters from Dubnica nad Váhom extinguished a car fire on the D1 highway near Považská Bystrica on Wednesday morning (March 18).. The incident did not cause injuries, the cause of the fire is under investigation. The Regional Directorate of the Fire and Rescue Service (HaZZ) in Trenčín announced this on the social network on Thursday.

According to him, the intervening firefighters defined the scene and deployed one extinguishing stream in order to locate and subsequently extinguish the fire. “Subsequently, after the fire was extinguished, the affected car was checked with a thermal imaging camera, a final survey of the fire scene was carried out, after which the scene was handed over to the police and the investigator of the causes of the fires.” he added.
