German brand powers 9 clubs; Adidas appears next among sponsors of the international tournament

is the brand with the largest presence among the 32 clubs in the 2026 Copa Libertadores de América. The German supplier equips 9 teams in the group stage of the tournament, consolidating leadership in the South American sports equipment market.

Among the clubs sponsored by the brand are Fluminense, Palmeiras, and Peñarol.

Next, it appears as the 2nd supplier with the largest number of clubs, including Flamengo, Boca Juniors and Cruzeiro.

Other brands, such as Umbro (3) and Marathon (5), also participate in the tournament, but with a smaller number of sponsored clubs.

The division of suppliers reflects the competition between global brands for space in South American football, especially in high-visibility competitions like the Libertadores.

The draw for the group stage will be held this Thursday (19th March 2026), at 8pm (Brasília time) at the headquarters of the South American Football Confederation, in Luque, Paraguay. The competition starts on April 7th and the final is scheduled for November 28th, at the Centenário Stadium, in Montevideo, Uruguay.
