On Thursday, the Polish police reported on the case of a Slovak citizen suspected of participating in an international drug network, for which he faces up to 20 years in prison. He was detained in Switzerland and in November he was extradited to Poland, where his investigation continues in custody. The Warsaw correspondent TASR informs about it according to the police report.

After his extradition to Poland in November 2025, the prosecutor’s office in Katowice asked the court for his detention. The arrest of the accused Michal D. is related to the investigation of the Central Investigation Office of the Police (CBŠP) under the supervision of the prosecutor’s office in Katowice, which concerns an organized group smuggling large quantities of drugs and legalizing the proceeds of criminal activity.

Investigators accuse him of participating in the smuggling of 115 kilograms of ketamine. According to the findings, he used the Polish company, where he was the only member of the management, for financial operations connected with illegal activity.

In September 2023, he deposited 25,000 euros into the account, which was almost immediately directed to the Hungarian company as payment for cosmetics with hidden ketamine. He later paid more than 2,000 euros to rent the warehouse where the drugs were stored. During a search there in October 2023, police officers seized a large amount of the substance. During the investigation of the case, the authorities do not rule out further arrests.
