In mid-November, Vienna’s housing councilor and deputy mayor Kathrin Gaál (SPÖ) handed over the keys to the residents of the new social housing building in the former Sophienspital, and the next day she visited an innovative renovation project by Sozialbau AG on Arenberggasse in Vienna-Landstrasse. From April 1st she can continue to do this, but then no longer as a politician, but as head of social housing. The SPÖ politician was appointed board member by the supervisory board of the non-profit housing company on Wednesday, starting on that very date. Sozialbau AG announced this after the supervisory board meeting.
