“O St. Patrick’s Day It’s a very special day for us in Ireland, but also for our diaspora around the world. It’s an opportunity to share the spirit of Ireland with people”, highlighted Alma Ní Choiligh, Irish ambassador to Portugal.

To mark the occasion, a parade was organized with more than 600 musicians, distributed in 13 bagpipe bands, of which nine are Portuguese and four Spanish.

“The party is very important worldwide because St. Patrick’s It is, in reality, an inter-Celtic festival. With celebration, we have fun. I always dreamed of this event being a great success in Lisbon and you can see that we are delighted, dancing, sharing with friends”, said Brás Rodrigo, organizer.
