British Prime Minister Keir Starmer condemned the attack, which took place this Monday, on four Jewish volunteer ambulances in Golders Green, London neighborhood. The attack, which took place near a synagogue, has already been classified by police as an anti-Semitic hate crime. So far, no arrests have been made, but authorities are investigating three suspects.
The attack happened around 1:45 am on Monday. Four ambulances were set on fire in the car park Hatzola Northwest, a voluntary organization that provides emergency medical services, in Golders Greena London neighborhood with a large Jewish community.
The London Police report that so far no arrests have been made, but there are that were captured by video surveillance cameras. London authorities are observing and analyzing all videos captured in an attempt to identify the three people who are still on the run.
Although there were no reports of injuries, as a precaution, several buildings in the area of the fire were evacuated.
The British Prime Minister, already condemned the attack and guaranteed that “anti-Semitism has no place in our society”.
“This is a deeply shocking anti-Semitic arson attack. My thoughts are with the Jewish community, who woke up this morning to this horrible news. Anti-Semitism has no place in our society. Anyone with information should contact the police,” the British Prime Minister wrote in .
A meeting of the Comité COBRA (Cabinet Office Briefing Rooms) from the British government to analyze the impact of the war in Iran on the cost of living for Britons. The attack is also expected to be addressed at the government’s emergency meeting.
