BMW reveals new i3 electric sedan that travels 900 km on a charge

BMW has launched the new 100% electric 3 Series. Called the i3, the sedan is the second model of the Neue Klasse and, according to the brand, it arrives with a technological leap.

The model debuts with the version i3 50xDrivewhich has an electric motor on each axle. The system’s combined power reaches 469 hp (476 hp) and a torque of 65.7 kgfm.

In terms of autonomy, the new BMW i3 reaches 900 km of autonomy on a single charge, according to the WLTP test cycle. On a fast socket (DC), the electric sedan is capable of recovering 400 km of range in 10 minutes.

“The sixth-generation BMW eDrive technology creates the prerequisites for this rapid advancement,” highlights the automaker.

In terms of appearance, the BMW grille and double headlights come together in an innovative light signature, creating a striking and expressive combination at the front. The rear, with accent horizontal lanternsreinforces precision and technological advancement.

The interior is luxurious and has novo BMW Panoramic iDrivewhich inaugurates a new level of traditional driver orientation, characteristic of BMW.

The brand did not go into technical details about the car’s interior and other information, such as size, general dimensions and markets that should receive the car.
