O STF (Supreme Federal Court) sent this Tuesday (24) a statement to the National Congress about the minister’s decision André Mendonça in favor of extending the INSS CPMI.
The minister determined, on Monday (23), a deadline of 48 hours for the president of Congress and the Senate, Davi Alcolumbre (União-AP), receive and read the request from parliamentarians to make the extension official.
The deadline, however, only begins after Congress is officially communicated by the Court. The Presidency of Congress has not yet commented on the matter.
Mendonça understood that what he called the “deliberate omission” of the Board of Directors and the Presidency of Congress in failing to receive and promote the reading of the request, which obtained the minimum number of support necessary for the extension, was unconstitutional.
A CNN found that and tends to manifest itself only after the conclusion of this opinion.
It also evaluates the possibility of a demonstration only after the STF plenary analyzes Mendonça’s decision. The physical plenary of the Supreme Court will judge next Thursday (26) the minister’s decision is endorsed.
