Regulars at Praça Orleir Cameli, in the center of , were surprised late this Thursday morning (26) by the presence of a snake approximately one meter long.
The animal, a canine, a black snake with yellowish markings, quickly climbed a tree next to the children’s playground, causing fright among people there.
One resident reported that the snake passed very close to his heel before climbing the tree. “It was a huge scare, but she didn’t reach me,” he said.
A team from the Fire Department was called and captured the animal safely, with no injuries reported.
The case reinforces the need for attention in urban areas close to vegetation, where the appearance of wild animals can occur more frequently.
