Rafael Brandão announces new team with Gramkow and Alfonsi – 03/26/2026 – Muscle

Rafael Brandão announced this Thursday (26) the new team with which he will work. After the end of the partnership with Neil Hill, the bodybuilder started working together with trainer Leonardo Gramkow and ‘coach’ (a term used in the fitness world to refer to the person responsible for the nutritional and pharmacological parts of the preparation) Marcello Alfonsi.

Through a video published earlier this evening on his YouTube account, the athlete said that Alfonsi was the first name he thought of after finishing work with Hill and even described the trainer in question as “the ideal guy”.

Brandão worked with the British professional for three years. Together, they won the Arnold Classic South America in 2024. That season, the Brazilian bodybuilder also achieved two historic results: Top 3 at the Arnold Classic Ohio and top 8 at the Olympia.

The end of the partnership was announced last week, days after this year’s edition of the Arnold Classic Ohio. In the championship in question, Brandão did not present as competitive a physique as usual and came in sixth place.

Who is Brandão’s new team?

Better known as “Coach Tchellow”, Alfonsi works with several professional athletes, with emphasis on Lucas Garcia, currently third place in Olympia in 212 – a result that represented the best Brazilian debut in this category in more than 15 years.

Tchellow is also a professional bodybuilder with the IFBB Pro League (“International Federation of Bodybuilding & Fitness Professional League”, which means Professional League of the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness in free translation into Portuguese). In 2024, he won the Chicago Pro and placed 11th at the Olympia.

Gramkow now has more than 30 professional athletes under his command in the weight room, such as Carlos André, Emerson Costa and Andrei Pereira. Throughout his career, he worked on preparations that resulted in eight professional card wins and five Olympia appearances.
