Cargo with 200 boxes of Nike materials was intercepted during transport to the SAF headquarters, in Barra da Tijuca
A load of 200 boxes of Vasco sports equipment, valued at approximately R$900,000, was stolen on Wednesday (25 March 2026). The crime took place on the Yellow Line, one of the main expressways in Rio de Janeiro. The materials were transported to the Vascaína headquarters, in Barra da Tijuca, west of the capital of Rio de Janeiro.
The DRFC (Robbery and Cargo Theft Police Station) recovered part of the stolen items on Thursday (26th March) in one of the accesses to Morro do Dezoito, an area located between the neighborhoods of Quintino and Piedade, in the north of Rio.
The Civil Police press office which continues with efforts to investigate the circumstances of the crime and locate the rest of the stolen cargo.

“In a joint action, civil police officers from the Capital Robbery and Cargo Theft Police Station (DRFC – CAP), Specialized Police Station for Weapons, Ammunition and Explosives (Disarmament) and Police Station for the Repression of Crimes against Intangible Property (DRCPIM) recovered, in less than 24 hours, a load of Vasco da Gama uniforms, which had been stolen. The action took place this Thursday (26/03), in Morro do Dezoito, in the North Zone of Rio.
“According to the agents, the material was located after monitoring work that made it possible to identify the place where the stolen material was hidden, within the community.
“After recovering the items, the cargo was taken to the Police City to be counted, and will be returned to the club.
“Investigations continue to identify the perpetrators of the robbery and possible recipients.”
