The level of the Acre River showed a significant increase this year (29), in Rio Branco, according to a bulletin released by. The rise in the spring occurs after heavy rainfall was recorded in the last 24 hours, which keeps authorities on alert.
According to official measurements, at 9 am, the level had already risen to 11.70 meters. According to the bulletin, 46.80 millimeters of rain were recorded, a factor that directly contributed to the rise of the river.
Despite the rise, the Acre River still remains below the levels considered critical. The alert level in Rio Branco is 13.50 meters, while transshipment occurs from 14 meters onwards. Even so, Civil Defense continues to monitor the situation continuously, as new rains may cause new elevations.
According to the municipal coordinator of Civil Defense, Lieutenant Colonel Cláudio Falcão, monitoring is carried out throughout the day to ensure a quick response if the level continues to rise. The recommendation is that residents of areas close to the river pay attention to official announcements and avoid risk areas during the rainy season.
