The Minister of Management and Innovation, Esther Dweck, stated this Thursday (2) that the federal government is not expanding the public service, but merely restoring the capacity to execute public policies.
“In fact, what we are doing is rebuilding the Brazilian State’s capacity to provide public policies,” he stated. She gives an interview to the program “Bom dia, Minister” from Empresa Brasil de Comunicação (EBC).
According to Dweck, the government is, in fact, losing employees when calculating retirements and new hires.
“We hired until March of this year, which is the data we have consolidated, 19 thousand people, which seems like a lot, right? And, in the same period, 16 thousand people left. Between January 23 and March 26, 19 thousand came in and 16 thousand left, so only 3 thousand nets came in, and those 70 thousand nets had already left”, he added.
Asked about the electoral process, she only stated that the work of the ministries will not be affected by ministerial changes caused by the lack of compatibility.
“Our expectation is this, to make policies, and then the electoral result depends on the population, it depends on their assessment, obviously, of the government”, he declared.
