A 36-year-old apartment tenant in Vienna-Penzing is said to have killed a man in his apartment. According to police spokeswoman Anna Gutt, neighbors alerted the police late on Thursday evening – around 10 p.m. – because they had smelled a strong smell of decay in the 36-year-old’s apartment. The professional fire department opened the front door. Inside lay a dead body in an advanced state of decomposition. The police quickly suspected a violent death.
