Trump's new threats - Eight dead from bridge bombing in Iran

At least eight people were killed and 95 wounded when a bridge on the highway linking Tehran to the western Iranian city of Karaj was bombed, according to Khodratullah Seif, deputy governor of Alborz province, as quoted by the Fars news agency and the Islamic Republic’s state television.

The US president earlier shared via Truth Social a video showing the destruction of “the biggest bridge in Iran” in a bombing, commenting that it’s time for Tehran to make a deal “before it’s too late”.

Specifically, he wrote: “Our military is the largest and most superior by far and has not even begun to destroy what is left of Iran. The leadership of the new regime knows what needs to be done and it needs to be done quickly,” referring to an agreement, while again threatening strikes on energy infrastructure.

At the same time, the Pentagon at the request of Defense Minister Pete Hegseth, without giving details on the reasons.

Israel announced that it had come under missile attack from Iran with the Israeli military announcing that its air defense systems were operational to intercept the missiles.

It said in a statement that “missiles fired from Iran towards the territory of the State of Israel were detected,” adding that “defense systems are working to intercept the threat.”
