The restoration of water supply in was postponed again after the Saneacre team identified a more complex problem in the Iaco River collection system.

With the new diagnosis, the deadline for supply normalization has been extended, and the forecast is now that the service will only be resumed next Monday (06). The situation has increased the inconvenience faced by the population, who have been living with the interruption in supply for days.

According to the manager of Saneacre in Sena Madureira, Adjerbisson Mendonça, the repair requires specific parts that are not available in the municipality, which ended up directly impacting the time needed for the repair.

While the problem is not resolved, residents have been looking for alternatives to meet basic needs, such as water storage and support from neighbors, which highlights the importance of a quick and effective solution.

The extension of the deadline also reignites the debate about the infrastructure of the city’s supply system, raising questions about preventive maintenance and the ability to respond to technical failures.

“During the more detailed inspection, we identified that the problem was not limited to the valve, but also affected the bearings of the intake pump motor. As it is new equipment, we need to purchase specific parts outside the municipality, which ends up taking longer to repair. We ask for the understanding of the population of Sena Madureira and reinforce that our team is working to resolve the situation as quickly as possible and reestablish the supply safely”, he stated.
