Actress, singer, producer and author, Stella Maria Rodrigues celebrates 42 years of career. And, soon, she will transform into Dona Dea, mother of Paulo Gustavo, in the show “Meu son é um musical”, which premieres on May 28th at Teatro Multiplan – Villagemall, in Rio de Janeiro.
His CV includes dozens of works such as “O Abre Alas – 150 anos de Chiquinha Gonzaga”, “Cole Porter – Ele Nunca Disse Que Me Amava”, “Suburbano Coração”, “Cristal Bacharat” and “A Ópera do Malandro” — all directed by Charles Möeller and Claudio Botelho.
Stella Maria Rodrigues received important awards and nominations, such as the ‘FITA’ for Best Actress in a Musical for Emilinha and the ‘APTR’ for Best Supporting Actress for Romeo and Juliet, the Musical.
As an author, she wrote “Quebrando Rules – Um Tributo a Tina Turner” and acted in the soap operas “Por Amor”, “Joia Rara”, “Sete Vidas” and “Cara e Coragem”. In , he was part of the casts of hits such as “Um Tio Almost Perfect”, “Minha Mãe é uma Peça 3” and “Os Farofeiros 2”.
“And now, after all this, life presents me with Déa Lúcia. A living, pulsating woman, full of humor, affection and truth. A mother who touches so many people — and who now passes through me, through my body, through my voice”, declares Stella Maria.
He concludes: “there is a very special emotion in playing someone who is here, among us. It’s not just creating… it’s honoring. It’s respecting a real story, a real love, a life that keeps happening. I feel immense joy, mixed with those butterflies in my stomach that never went away — and thank goodness.”
