Police are calling for timely processing of passports before the upcoming summer holiday season. Summer vacations also bring longer waiting times every year. Therefore, there is no need to leave getting your passport to the last minute. The police drew attention to this on the social network.
“A simple rule: the sooner you pack, the more relaxed you will travel,” emphasized the police officers. As they zoomed in, when equipping the passport is it is necessary to prepare an identity card, or a birth certificate and a certificate of citizenship.
The police also reminded that in case of data changes, for example after marriage, you must also have a registry document. The previous passport, if it was issued, must be handed over. An administrative fee is paid for issuing a passport.
The spokesman of the Presidium of the Police, Roman Hájek, also pointed out that each applicant must be present in person when submitting the application. The police have to scan his biometric data.
