She stated on the website that strong winds are expected until Wednesday at 6:00 a.m., which in gusts will reach a speed of 38 to 44 meters per second, which is a strong to powerful gale. According to the HZS, wind of this intensity represents an increased danger, especially for hiking, skiing, mountain climbing and the like.
The second level warning, issued by the Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute, is valid for the districts of Poprad, Liptovský Mikuláš, Tvrdošín, Ružomberok, Banská Bystrica and Brezno.
