Israel launches new attacks on Tehran
Tehran was attacked this Tuesday in a joint offensive by the United States and Israel, according to the Iranian Red Crescent and confirmed by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), a few hours before the ultimatum to reach an agreement by US President Donald Trump expires.
“Another residential area was the target of an air attack by the Zionist regime and the United States, and now Red Crescent rescuers are providing aid and rescue,” indicate the emergency services of the Persian nation on the social network X, with a video in which they showed workers among the rubble of collapsed buildings. Neither the Red Crescent nor Iranian agencies reported any casualties or injuries at this time.
The IDF claims “a wave of airstrikes with the aim of damaging the infrastructure of the Iranian terrorist regime in Tehran and other areas” of the country, they said on their Telegram channel, without specifying which specific points were hit.
The day before, Iran presented a proposal to the White House to end the war, while US President Donald Trump, who extended his ultimatum to reopen the Strait of Hormuz until Tuesday, assured that the entire Islamic Republic “can be annihilated in one night.”
Israel, for its part, maintains its silence about its willingness to negotiate and its Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, boasted: “Israel is stronger than ever, and the terrorist regime in Iran is weaker than ever.” (Efe)
