US President demands the end of the blockade in the Strait of Hormuz by midnight this Tuesday – 9pm Brasília time -, under penalty of total destruction of Iranian infrastructure
President Donald Trump warned that “an entire civilization will die” in Iran this Tuesday (7), if the regime does not meet its ultimatum. “An entire civilization will die tonight, never to return. I don’t want it to happen, but it probably will,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform. “WHO KNOWS?” he added.
The president did not provide details, but he had previously stated that his country’s armed forces could bomb bridges, power plants e other civil infrastructure of Iran to return the country to the “Stone Age”.
The ultimatum expires at 8 p.m. Washington local time (9 p.m. Brasília time).
When asked by journalists on Monday (6) about his exact conditions, Trump replied: “an agreement that satisfies me”. This agreement that would neutralize the bombing order must include, above all, Iran’s renunciation of possession of nuclear weaponsemphasized the Republican.
