The increase was a significant increase from the 79% recorded the previous year.
The vaccination campaign is carried out by Idaf and follows guidelines from the Ministry of Agriculture. Vaccination is mandatory and targets female cattle and buffaloes aged between three and eight months, an essential step in the control and eradication of brucellosis, a disease that directly impacts livestock and public production.
“This result achieved is the result of a lot of work with the division of goals and guidelines, involving the technical team, which identified the need to bring rural producers closer through training and vaccination courses against bovine brucellosis. This expanded the workforce of vaccinators and, at the same time, promoted the engagement of private veterinarians in the execution of the program, combined with dissemination actions”, explains the coordinator of the State Program for the Control and Eradication of Brucellosis and Tuberculosis (PECEBT), Jean Carlos Torres, to the Acre News Agency.
Modernization
Since 2021, Idaf has modernized the vaccination control system, allowing the digital issuance of documents, such as the recipe for purchasing the B-19 and RB51 vaccines, in addition to the online declaration of vaccination through the Agricultural and Forestry Defense System (Sisdaf).
