After a technical inspection carried out by specialist engineers, the bridge that connects Brazil and Bolivia, over the Abunã River, was 100% closed to vehicles.
According to a statement issued by the Municipal Civil Defense of , the crossing is only open to pedestrians and cyclists, due to the collapse identified in the structure’s balance sheet and crossing.

“The closure will remain until the waters recede and a new assessment is carried out by the competent authorities. We count on everyone’s understanding and collaboration to ensure the safety of all users”, says the statement.

The inspection was carried out in conjunction with the State Civil Defense, Deracre and Municipal Civil Defense.
