The former manager of Logirail knew that Claudia Montes was not going to work, but because the position “was not the right one”
The former manager of Logirail Óscar Gómez Barbero has related in his witness statement that he knew that, when he arrived at the company, Claudia Montes was not going to work, but that she did not do so because the position “was not suitable”: “It is not that she did not work.” The woman was assigned to the tourist train business unit and, according to Gómez, her position was next to a service staircase, on a ground floor, which is why it made sense for her not to go.
The former managing director of Logirail has also distanced himself from the hiring of Montes, one of the women linked to former minister José Luis Ábalos in this plot. Gómez Barbero has explained that he started working at the public company after Montes was hired. However, he has reported that he was later in charge of managing the contract to upgrade him in category, with the intention of making it suitable for the services he provided in the company. He has also explained that he gave instructions to be given a different work space. The former manager has clarified that, according to his knowledge, after the change of position Montes did work.
