The President of the United States, (Republican Party), said that American troops and all military resources will remain close to Iran until a “real agreement” be achieved between the 2 countries.
“All U.S. ships, aircraft, and military personnel, with ammunition, weaponry, and whatever else is appropriate and necessary for the lethal pursuit and destruction of an already substantially weakened enemy, will remain in their positions in and near Iran until the actual agreement reached is fully fulfilled.”Trump wrote on the Truth Social platform held on Wednesday night (April 8), local time – early Thursday morning (April 9) in Brasília.
Trump stated that, if the agreement does not come to fruition, he will order new attacks, which will be “Bigger, better and stronger than anyone has ever seen.”.
The American president declared: “It was agreed, long ago, and despite all the false rhetoric to the contrary: no nuclear weapons and the Strait of Hormuz will remain open and safe.”.

On Tuesday (April 7), Trump called a temporary truce conditional on the complete, immediate and safe opening of the Strait of Hormuz, a maritime passage through which around 20% of the world’s oil is transported.
However, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif (PML-N, right) said that infractions “were reported in some parts of the conflict zone” and that this “undermines the spirit of the peace process”.
The Iranian government decided to suspend crossing the strait on Wednesday (April 8), less than 24 hours after the ceasefire came into force.
ATTACKS AND IMPASSE IN AGREEMENT
Israel has launched one of its most extensive series of bombings against Beirut in decades. According to the Israel Defense Forces, more than 100 command centers and military installations linked to Hezbollah were hit on Wednesday (April 8).
The escalation in Lebanon exposes diplomatic confusion over the limits of a truce in the region. Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif – who acts as a mediator in negotiations between the United States and Iran – stated that the ceasefire agreement under discussion would include Lebanese territory.
The version, however, was by the governments of Israel and the USA. The American vice president (Republican Party) declared that Tehran mistakenly believed that the truce would cover Lebanon, but that there was no agreement to that effect.
In retaliation for the Israeli offensive on Beirut, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps published a statement stating that “an attack on Hezbollah is an attack on Iran.” and talked about preparing a “heavy response” military against Israel.
