Sharp words to Mlynská dolina! The tension in the culture, led by SNS nominee Martina Šimkovičová, continues to escalate. Most recently, the popular actor Ondřej Daniš, who posted a video full of reproaches on his social network, volunteered to speak. The artist went to Slovak Television and Radio, where he regularly appeared in various series. Daniš is now giving up on any cooperation and addressed a harsh message to the television station headed by the head Martina Flašíková.
“Hello, my name is Ondřej Daniš, I am 47 years old and I am an actor and musician. I come from Zvolen, where I also live, and I have been working at the Jozef Gregor Tajovský Theater as an actor for the 21st season. I have experience in television production, especially series and especially for Slovak Television. At that time it was for RTVS. I filmed two series of Secret Lives, a series of Confessions, as well as two series of Touch of Life,” began in the open confession of Ondřej and continued:
“The first series was in RTVS, the second was already under the banner of STVR. It was always a great honor for me and I went into this collaboration without any doubts. because these formats had the currency that not all formats of a similar type have – and that was firstly dramaturgy and secondly some durability. And the fact that those series captured their time, and that when a person looks at them maybe 30 years from the archive, they will still be watchable and believablethey will not be tendentious, they will be what the time was and they will capture us, as actors, at some stage of life,” further explained Daniš, who smoothly got to the core of his dissatisfaction.
“Thank you for the invitation to collaborate on this series that you invited me to. I know that I promised to act in it, but I have to tell you the truth that I have a huge moral dilemma with it, because with the current situation that prevails in STVR and at the same time, what kind of people are in the positions that make decisions about the executive of this media, so I don’t have the slightest desire to cooperate with this group of people in my worldview,” the actor began with his criticism.
“Because I think that these are people who have not created anything and can only destroy, destroy something that someone else creates before them. I know that on my part it might be sawing a branch under myself, but honestly, I would rather play on the street, wearing a hat and arguing with the people around me, than to start working with this kind of people.” snapped the disappointed actor. “I believe you will understand and I will be very happy, whenever the conditions change in STV, RTV, STV… I don’t care what it will be called, but when there will be qualified people who leave some work behind, I will be very happy to return to the television screens of your television. Martina Flašíková faces criticism from part of the cultural community and the opposition. They associate her work with efforts to silence critical voices, censorship and intimidation. They cannot forgive the stopwatch for the recording of the Radio_Head Awards gala evening, where criticism of the current state of culture was not spared. In an open letter to artists, Flašíková stated that she cannot accept the abuse of public space for political communication. She accused the artists that their expressions contribute to dividing society and increasing tension. “My duty is to protect public space from its abuse for the promotion of individual opinions. Likewise, I myself do not use this space for the presentation of personal attitudes.” wrote Flašíková saying that “events of this type are primarily intended for the presentation of work and its appreciation, while personal opinions have their natural place in other formats and platforms of public discussion”.
It also started to lose points with its opponents due to the dismissal of dozens of employees as part of the consolidation, among which there are also well-known critical voices, for example Sonia Gyarfášováwhich maps the fates of political prisoners and has been awarded several times for its journalistic work. Three hundred employees and collaborators of STVR therefore signed an open letter on Thursday in which they expressed their respect and support for their dismissed colleagues. “It is difficult for us to come to terms with the departure of colleagues who contributed to the quality of Slovak television and radio broadcasts,” it is stated in the letter, which was signed by Marta Jančkárová, the presenter of O five minute twelve Marek Gudiak and the face of Správ STVR Ľubomír Bajaník. Actors Kamila Magálová, Táňa Pauhofová, Tomáš Maštalír and Robert Roth also added their names.

He faces a call to resign for this.
