Tabaková attacked Cibulková: I don’t understand that the money is worth to them… Harsh words about her business!

Former tennis player Dominika Cibulková underwent a major transformation in 2024, during which she lost a respectable 23 kilograms. Although she gained a few pounds back under the influence of stress from the ongoing divorce, she is currently working intensively on her form again. She caused even more surprise among fans when started promoting hard alcohol on social networks.

Her videos, where she mixes a drink or enjoys an alcoholic beverage, did not go unnoticed former tennis player and former member of the National People’s Republic of Slovakia Romana Tabakova. “Weird. No. I don’t agree if an athlete advertises alcohol,” she expressed her strong opinion on Instagram on Wednesday.

She also drew attention to a wider social problem that our country has to face, especially in the area of the Slovak public’s alarming tolerance towards alcohol. “Slovaks have a serious problem with alcohol consumption, while we belong to the 10 countries with the highest consumption according to the World Health Organization (WHO),” she noted.

At the same time, she created a poll on the social networkto see if her stance matches that of her fans. It turned out that the majority of respondents lean towards her critical view. As many as 64% agreed with the statement that an athlete should not promote alcohol. On the contrary, 36% of voters did not see a problem in this cooperation or disagreed with the former politician’s opinion.

Immediately one of Tabakova’s supporters pointed out that Cibulková was also the face of the campaign of a well-known lottery company. “And when an athlete advertises gambling, is that okay too? I would ask the athletes who are promoting it if they have ever gambled and lost their entire paycheck and then had nothing to live on when they are promoting it so widely,” the report states.

His statement prompted Tabakova to further react. “Exactly. I forgot to mention that too. I don’t understand that the money is worth it to them. Both alcohol and gambling destroy lives. Addiction. Few people do it for the joy and celebration of life,” she agreed with him.

Subsequently, she criticized the setting of rules in the advertising space, which, according to her, does not make sense. “Pro-life ads are limited, but alcohol and gambling are ok,” she concluded with a bitter remark.
