A 35-year-old man died in an accident on a quad bike in the cadastre of Belá village (Žilina district). Another 62-year-old man was injured on Saturday when the quad bike fell in the forest in the local part of Turzovky (Čadca district). The Žilina Regional Police reported about it on the social network.

The overturning of the four-wheeler, under which a 35-year-old man was trapped, probably happened on Friday (April 10), according to the police’s findings so far. The man’s body was found without signs of life on Saturday morning. “The driver suffered injuries from which he died on the spot. In this regard, the police have opened a criminal investigation into the offense of manslaughter. The exact causes and circumstances are the subject of further investigation,” the police said.
The second 62-year-old man, who was injured when the quad bike overturned in Turzovka, was taken to the hospital by air ambulance. In this context, the police appeals to all drivers of four-wheelers to take extra care when driving in forested and difficult terrain, to adapt driving to their abilities and technical condition, and not to underestimate the risks that such terrain brings. “Driving in the forest requires maximum caution, as even a minor mistake can have fatal consequences,” added the policemen.
