With the scenario of high interest rates and global uncertainties, it has challenged investors but also opened space for new opportunities on the Stock Exchange.
For Felipe Paiva, director of B3, the moment requires less reaction and more strategy.
“I often say that it is in moments of volatility that great opportunities arise. It does not mean putting all your assets on the stock market or fixed income, but understanding the importance of diversification”, he states.

The current situation contrasts with the high level of the basic interest rate, which still keeps fixed income attractive. Still, according to Paiva, looking only at this factor can limit investment decisions.
“There is a lot of talk about the interest rate at 15% per year, but it is also necessary to look at the performance of the Stock Exchange in recent months. Many times, investors choose to stay only in fixed income due to this return, but those who did not allocate part of their resources to the Stock Exchange last year ended up losing an appreciation of close to 30%”, he says.

Brazil is among the largest exchanges in the world and its role is to connect investors to companies, allowing them to raise resources, invest, increase production and create jobs.
The Brazilian market has also attracted international investors.
“B3 received a very strong foreign flow in the first months of the year. This investor looks at Brazil and even with adversity, he sees opportunities.”
