In the European Union, the price of gasoline is around 15% higher than it was in February; the liter of diesel rose even more, around 30%.
A European average is us 1,871 euros per liter of Gasoline and us 2,076 euros per liter of diesel. It’s a very average next of the numbers in Portugal: This week prices will increase slightly and diesel will be around 2.08 euros per liter, gasoline will cost close to 1.91 euros.
The verified that the Netherlands have the most expensive diesel: 2,46 euros per liter. Next are Denmark (€2.36), Germany (€2.29), Finland (€2.27) and Belgium (€2.23).
The cheapest liter of diesel, by far, is in Malta: 1,21 euros. Then come Hungary (€1.62), Slovenia (€1.62) and Bulgaria (€1.62).
For gasoline, in Malta it costs 1.34 euros per liter, while in the Netherlands it costs 2.33 euros.
Despite much talk about ISP in Portugal, the country with taxes higher in the final weight of fuels is the Slovenia (54.8%). Here, the ISP has a 37% weight in the price of diesel and 46% in gasoline.
