Palmeiras: Carlos Miguel suffers racial insult in classic with Corinthians

Goalkeeper Carlos Miguel, from Palmeiras, suffered racial abuse this Sunday (12), during a classic with Corinthians played at the Neo Química Arena, in São Paulo for the 11th round of Series A of the Brazilian Championship.

In a video circulating on social media, it is possible to hear a fan in the stadium’s stands calling the archer a “monkey”.

The offense occurred right after the Palmeiras native saved a shot from Yuri Alberto, in the second half of the match. See below:

Carlos Miguel was announced by Palmeiras on August 19 last year. The goalkeeper has spent time at Corinthians, a club for which he played between 2021 and 2024. In total, he played 25 matches for Alvinegro.
