Montreal – David Reinbacher scored an assist in Alex Newhook’s 3-0 victory in his National Hockey League debut on Sunday. The Montreal Canadiens, who were already in the play-offs, had drafted the 21-year-old defender from the AHL from the Laval Rocket farm team. Montreal won the away game at the New York Islanders 4-1. Reinbacher was selected fifth by the Canadians in the 2023 draft. An injury also prevented him from appearing in the NHL.
