YouTube suspends pro-Iran channel that published videos mocking Trump

O YouTube announcedthis Wednesday (15), the closure of a channel belonging to a pro-Iran group which produced viral videos inspired by the aesthetics of Lego toys, generated by artificial intelligence, ridiculing American President Donald Trump.

A Explosive Mediaa group of content creators who describe themselves as independent — although widely suspected of having ties to the Iranian government —, gained notoriety on the internet thanks to the animated videos that have accumulated millions of reproductions since the United States and Israel began their war against Iran at the end of February.

“We closed this channel for violating our policies on spam, deceptive practices and scams,” a YouTube spokesperson told AFP, without offering further details.

The social network Instagram, owned by Meta, also deleted the group’s account, American media reported.
