The president of Turkey clearly expressed his opposition to the possibility of the military forces sent by European countries due to the war staying permanently on the island during his meeting in Dolmabahçe with the occupying leader.
Turkey ready to take measures to defend “TRNC”
Erdogan reiterated that Turkey is ready to take all necessary measures to defend the “Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus”, during his meeting with Erhiurman, as stated in an official statement on the matter.
According to the Directorate of Communication of the Turkish presidency, the Turkish president also underlined that Ankara will never allow the rights and interests of Turkish Cypriots to be violated.
In the context of the meeting, Erdoğan-Erhürman discussed bilateral relations and regional issues as announced.
