Anyone who uses an AI chatbot at work, at school or while studying can soon look forward to moments of happiness: What previously had to be laboriously worked out by reading dusty books or using pages of calculation examples is now presented on the serving plate within seconds. We feel more efficient and smarter. The catch: Anyone who delegates the thinking work to artificial intelligence significantly reduces their own thinking capacity. This is shown by a study published by researchers from the USA and Great Britain in April.
