Alice Ribeiro, 35 years old, died as a result of a traffic accident in Minas Gerais; she had been with the station since August 2024
Journalist Alice Maria Ribeiro dos Santos Dadalt, 35 years old, had surgery on Thursday night (16) at the Hospital de Pronto-Socorro João XXIII, in Belo Horizonte. The Band Minas reporter was involved in a traffic accident on Wednesday (15), when the broadcaster’s car collided with a truck on BR-381, in the municipality of Sabará (MG). Cameraman Rodrigo Lapa, who was driving the vehicle, died at the scene of the crash.
Outside the television environment, Alice was married to federal highway police officer João. The couple has a nine month old son. The journalist leaves behind her baby, her husband, her parents and her brother.
In the professional area, Alice joined the Band Minas team in August 2024. Before that, she worked at Band Brasília, performing the functions of reporter e presenterand passed through a TV Globo affiliate in the city of Feira de Santana, in Bahia.
On a daily basis, the journalist preferred production of special guidelinesespecially on the autism. This is due to my experience with my brother Bê.
Alice Ribeiro had been admitted to Hospital João XXIII since last Wednesday, where she had confirmation of brain death.
“The João XXIII Emergency Hospital, in Belo Horizonte, confirmed, on Thursday night (16), the brain death of reporter Alice Ribeiro, a condition in which there is an irreversible loss of brain functions. The protocol, opened in the morning, was concluded this evening, after a series of tests that confirmed the diagnosis”, said the Band in a note.
