Iran executes two men accused of setting fire to buildings at the behest of Israel

Iran announced this Monday, the 20th, that it had hanged two men accused of setting fire to buildings in the service of Mossad, Israel’s intelligence service. The Mizan news agency, linked to the Iranian Judiciary, identified the men as Mohammad Masoum Shahi and Hamed Validi.

Both those hanged would be part of the opposition group Mujahedeen-e-Khalq, which claimed that Shahi and Validi were “subjected to interrogation and torture” by the Iranian regime and were accused of events that occurred when they were already detained.

Since the start of attacks by the United States and Israel against Iran on February 28, eight members of the Mujahedeen-e-Khalq have been executed. Source: Associated Press.
