The dimensions were considerable, and the matter is still not completely over. The Buwog criminal trial against former finance minister Karl-Heinz Grasser, the former lobbyists Walter Meischberger and Peter Hochegger and others lasted three years. A year after the verdict was announced at the end of 2020, the 1,280-page written judgment came; lawyers were given longer deadlines for filing legal remedies. The court file contained around 5,100 serial numbers and the trial minutes contained more than 17,000 pages.
