Trump praises Tim Cook and says Apple CEO asked for help

North American president claims that executive made requests and he helped wherever he could during his term in office

The President of the United States, (Republican Party)stated this Tuesday (April 21, 2026) that the CEO of Apple, Tim Cookmade requests for help directly to the White House during his term. The statement was published on the Truth Social network after the announcement. Trump described the relationship between the two as close and praised the executive’s performance.

According to the president, the contact began with a call from Cook at the beginning of his first term. The executive would have presented a problem that depended on government decision. Trump stated that he managed to resolve the issue and that, over time, Cook began to make new requests. He said it helped “wherever I could”although not all requests were met.

Trump highlighted Cook’s direct way of acting. According to the president, the executive did not use expensive consultants and presented demands objectively. After a few interactions, Trump stated that he began to publicly praise the CEO’s ability to resolve problems quickly.

When comparing Cook with Steve Jobsfounder of Apple, Trump said that both are relevant figures for the company. However, he declared that, under Cook’s management, the company achieved results superior to those it would have obtained if Jobs had remained in charge.
