Voyager 1 runs out of power: NASA had to switch off another measuring instrument

No man-made object has so far penetrated further into the depths of space than Voyager 1. And hardly anyone expected that the Voyager probes, which left Earth every two weeks in 1977, would still be on their journey unswervingly after almost 50 years, with a few misfires. Voyager 1 left our solar system in 2012 and has now traveled more than 25.4 billion kilometers, which is equivalent to just under one light day; for Voyager 2, which has been in interstellar space since 2018, it is 21 billion kilometers.
