Contacted by Lusa, Paulo Carmona confirmed that he will be the next president of Infraestruturas de Portugal, succeeding the current administration led by Miguel Cruz.
The IP Board of Directors, led by Miguel Cruz, had been elected in 2022 for the 2022-2024 triennium and had been under current management for over a year.
Paulo Carmona’s route
Paulo Carmona, current general director of has a degree in Business Administration and Management from Universidade Católica Portuguesa and completed executive training at the same institution, as well as at the Kellogg School of Management, at Northwestern University, in Chicago, and at AESE Business School.
During his professional career, he held management and administrative positions in several entities linked to energy, finance and management, having been president of the National Entity for the Fuel Market, ‘chairman’ of and executive president of Prio Bio in Portugal, Romania and Brazil.
He was also vice-president of the AIP Foundation, administrator of Martifer and Multipublicações, in addition to having worked at Merrill Lynch, in New York, and the Union of Swiss Banks.
He also presided over the Portuguese Association of Taxpayers, the Portuguese Association of Bioenergy Producers and the Forum of Business Administrators and Managers, also integrating several advisory councils and entities linked to the energy, economic and regulatory sectors.
