Delegates reacted almost immediately to the president’s statement that police officers seconded to other bodies are pretending to be working. The category expressed concern about the speech and says that it is not the call for 53 delegates that will win the .

In a public agenda this Thursday (23), Lula said that he invited all PF delegates who are assigned “elsewhere pretending that they are working” and that everyone would have to return to “fight organized crime”.

The Association of Federal Police Delegates (ADPF) reacted and said that the seconded police officers perform strategic and highly relevant functions and that there is no need to ask general questions about their performance.

Furthermore, he stated that only 53 delegates are assigned to other bodies, which represents less than 3% of the total.

“It is not enough to expand staff. It is essential to implement consistent policies for valuing, retaining talent and adequately financing the institution”, states the note.

Behind the scenes, police officers classified the president’s speech as “unfortunate” and said it was an insult to the category.

The position is a response from the category, which is dissatisfied because the federal government did not follow up. Furthermore, police officers complain that the profession has been devalued and many have changed careers.

“The association reaffirms that combating organized crime requires less propaganda and more concrete actions. Declarations that disqualify police officers do not contribute to this objective and weaken the public debate on security”, stated the entity.
