Turkish parliament voted to ban social media for children

Ankara – The Turkish parliament has voted to ban social media for minors under 15 years old. Under the law passed on Wednesday, the group will be banned from creating accounts on online services, while platforms will be required to introduce systems to verify the age of their users, Turkish broadcaster NTV reported. In Austria, the federal government has announced a law banning children under 14 for the summer.
