The United States will work with Lebanon to help protect itself from Hezbollah. The ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon will be extended for three weeks,” the American leader announced on the Truth Social network.
Trump added that he hopes to receive Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun at the White House soon.
Second round of contacts
This Thursday is the second round of contacts between Israel and Lebanon after the one held on April 14 at the headquarters of the State Department in Washington, which marked the first high-level meeting between both nations since 1993 and concluded with a ten-day ceasefire agreement.
