Paolo Zampolli called Brazilian women a “cursed race” and stated that they were “programmed to cause confusion”
The first lady criticized on Friday (24.Apr.2026) the statements made by the special envoy for Global Partnerships of the (Republican Party) government, who called Brazilian women “cursed race” “programmed to cause confusion”.
On social media, Janja said he was “impossible not to be indignant at the speech.” and that “Brazilian women, with great strength and courage, break, daily, cycles of violence and silencing”.
“Saying that we are a ‘cursed race’ and ‘programmed to cause mayhem’ does not diminish us. Because we know very well who we are and we are very proud of who we become on a daily basis.”declared the first lady.
Here is the publication:
Zampolli’s speeches were given in an interview with the Italian broadcaster Rai. He was referring to his ex-wife, former Brazilian model Amanda Ungaro, to whom he was married for almost 20 years.
Amanda accuses her ex-husband of sexual abuse and physical assault during the years they were together. Janja also mentioned these accusations from the Brazilian.
DEPORTATION AND POLITICAL INFLUENCE
Brazilian Amanda Ungaro, 41 years old, was deported from the USA in 2025 by the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement Service (ICE), after living in the country for 23 years.
She attributes the expulsion to her ex-husband’s political influence. The two are in a legal dispute over custody of their 15-year-old son.
Zampolli has worked with Trump since 2004 and has built strong loyalty with the American president. He was the one who introduced himself as the modeling agent responsible for securing Melania Trump’s work visa in the US in the 1990s.
BOND WITH EPSTEIN AND DIDDY
Zampolli’s social circle included Jeffrey Epstein. According to US court records, the Italian’s name appears dozens of times in the files of the financier, who died in 2019.
Amanda reported that, in 2002, at the age of 17, she boarded the Lolita Express – one of Epstein’s planes – accompanied by Frenchman Jean-Luc Brunel, appointed as a scout for the scheme. The former model claims to have seen around 30 girls on the flight who looked like “more students than models”.
