The former mayor of () leads the race for the Government of , according to the Genial/Quaest survey released this Tuesday (28).
In the stimulated scenario of a second round, in which the candidates’ names are presented to voters, Campos has 46% of voting intentions, while the governor () registers 38%. The difference between the two is 8 percentage points.
In the first round, Campós has 42%, and Lyra, 34%. Next come Eduardo Moura, with 3% and Ivan Moraes, with 1%. Voters who declare a blank, null or non-voting vote account for 9% in the survey. Undecided are 11%.
The research is registered with the TSE (Superior Electoral Court) and filed under number PE-08904/2026. The survey was carried out between April 22nd and 26th. 900 interviews were carried out in person with voters in Pernambuco. The maximum margin of error is three percentage points, and the reliability level is 95%.
João Campos left the Recife city hall and articulates alliances with parties at the base of the federal government, with Marília Arraes () and Humberto Costa () as pre-candidates for the Senate. Raquel Lyra’s pre-candidates include Miguel Coelho () and Túlio Gadelha (PSD).
The survey also provides data on the evaluation of current state management. According to Quaest, 36% of those interviewed evaluate the Raquel Lyra government as positive, while 43% consider the management to be regular and 18% classify it as negative.
The data points to an improvement in the governor’s assessment. In August 2025, the positive evaluation was 32%, against 28% negative and 36% regular.
Senate
For the Senate, in addition to the names already mentioned, there is also Anderson Ferreira as a pre-candidate for PL. It was announced by (PL).
In all scenarios, Marília Arraes is the leader, varying from 18% to 21%. Humberto Costa comes next, from 12% to 13%. Miguel Coelho appears with 10% in two scenarios.
