Matej Jakic grew up in Favoriten, a district heavily influenced by migration. He is a teacher there and has already studied youth language during his studies. In his book he describes how in Vienna, and especially among young people, languages overlap and flow into one another, resulting in the development of a form of expression that has multiple origins and no fixed rules: the ethnolect.
