Success in artificially generating earthquakes

Earthquakes are the epitome of a force of nature that humans cannot influence. But a new experiment is now calling this into question: researchers have caused the earth in the Gotthard massif in Ticino to shake in a controlled manner for the first time. The RWTH Aachen University, which was involved in the experiment, said the experiment was “very successful”.
