Vista Alegre has guaranteed the renewal of its contract with IKEA until 2034, in an agreement that is expected to generate more than 400 million euros in accumulated turnover.
The contract, through the subsidiary Ria Stone, replaces the current agreement that ends in December 2026. According to the 2025 report and accounts, there is already understanding between the parties to extend the partnership for another seven years.
“Resulting from the strong existing partnership, based on competitiveness, customer service and the ability to develop new products”, the Vista Alegre “has managed to retain this customer, maintaining its production capacity, sales and results at good levels”emphasizes the company led by Fernando Daniel Nunes.
A Ria Stoneconsidered a priority supplier to IKEA, has been expanding its distribution network, ensuring that the unit operates close to maximum capacity.
New factory and more jobs
Driven by this contract, the group prepares a investment of around 40 million euros in a new manufacturing unit in Ílhavo, in the Mota Industrial Zone.
The project envisages the construction of a industrial complex with approximately 27 thousand square metersequipped with advanced technology, and should create approximately 100 new jobs.
The new factory will allow increase annual production capacity to around 50 million pieces of tableware stoneware table.
More than 98% of production will be destined for international marketsfocusing on Southern Europe, Central Europe, Scandinavia and the United Kingdom.
A internationalization remains central to the group, which in 2025 registered 71% of revenue outside Portugal.

The stoneware crockery segment, associated with production for IKEA, already represents 44% of consolidated revenue, which reached 144.3 million euros.
